Hi I am Katherine Wathen, I live about 10 minutes away from Campus and I’ve lived here in Lexington for my whole life. I have a younger sister named Lizzie who is 12 years old, and a boxer named Sugar who I wish I could have brought with me to college! I have several hobbies I really enjoy which include: painting, photography, and journaling. I am also Catholic but I have found that I connect much better with the Christian church, and I enjoy going to Southland Christian Church every Sunday evening with either my friends or my family.

ICW Primary Sources Katherine Wathen

  Blog Post: Primary Artifacts   On your blog, post two primary sources (photos, interviews, survey etc.) you are considering for your project to   your blog before class on 9/18.  These   sources   should have descriptions and explanations as to how you will collect them and how they might be used to inform/illustrate your community topic.  I am going to interview my grandmother Nonnie, since she knows just about everything about Casey County that there is to know. These make up the most comforting place I’ve ever known, and that’s just the beginning. Casey County Kentucky is where my Grandmother, Nonnie grew up. She’s taken her two daughters here their whole lives, my mom and my Aunt Sarah. This led to them taking me, my sister Lizzie, and my cousin Christopher along too. We would drive down on the weekends when we were free and summer was our favorite time to go.
